Though it may seem like overkill, pain has a way of migrating and it is important that the gel come in contact with the nerve endings sending pain messages to the brain. Often these nerve endings are not located at the point of the actual pain. If possible, massage the gel into the skin until it starts to evaporate and dry.
Generally, expect DOCTOR HOY'S to last from 1 to 5 hours depending on the density of tissue and the location of your pain. The more tissue available to absorb the gel, the longer relief you will experience.
